# Record and correct points

Record points during a live game and correct point data or the score when needed.

Use the game interface to keep the score accurate. If stats are enabled, each point also records the goal, assist, and point time.

## Who can update points

* The Owner and authorized Admins can update any game in their event.
* Scorekeeper can update any game in the event.
* Limited scorekeeper is restricted to games involving their own team.

## Record a point

1. Open the **Live** game.
2. Select **Goal** for the scoring team.
3. If stats are enabled, select the player who made the **Assist** and the player who scored the **Goal**.
4. Confirm the point.

Ultie updates the score and, when applicable, the team and player stats.

## Correct a point

1. Open the point you need to fix and expand its actions.
2. Select **Edit** to change the goal or assist.
3. Select **Delete** to remove an incorrectly recorded point, then confirm the deletion.

The same authorized roles can correct points after the game is **Finished**. Editing or deleting a point recalculates the score and any dependent team and player stats.

## If something blocks you

* **Goal or point actions are not available:** check the game state and your event role.
* **You have Limited scorekeeping access:** open a game involving your own team.
* **A player is missing or has the wrong event number:** update the [event roster from the game interface](/scorekeeping-and-live-games/edit-game-rosters.md).
