# Add and switch child profiles

Add a managed child profile, switch profiles, and understand when the child's global profile can be visible.

A Family manager manages child profiles from their own Ultie account. Children below the self-managed Account age do not sign in separately.

## Add a child profile

1. Sign in to your Family manager account.
2. Select your name in the top-right corner to open the profile menu.
3. Select **Your Family**.
4. Select **Add Child**.
5. Enter the child's required profile details.
6. Confirm that you are authorized to manage the child and save the profile.

The child now appears on the **Your Family** page.

## Switch to a child profile

1. Select your name in the top-right corner to open the profile menu.
2. Select **Switch Account**.
3. Select the child profile you want to manage.

After you switch, the banner shows **You're acting as \[name]. All actions will apply to this profile.**

## Control whether the global profile is visible

Ultie uses the child's country and date of birth to decide when their global profile can be visible.

* Below the applicable age, the global profile is hidden and locked.
* At or above that age, it remains hidden until you make it visible.

Changing the child's country can change the applicable age. If the new age is higher, Ultie hides the profile and locks the visibility setting until the child is old enough. If the new age is lower, the profile remains hidden until you make it visible.

Profiles never become visible automatically. Children under 13 cannot use a profile photo.

This setting affects only the global profile. Published event records and current club listings are separate.

## Switch back to your profile

1. Select **Switch Profile** in the banner at the top of the site.
2. Select your profile, marked **You**.

You can use the same route to switch to another child profile you manage. Switching profiles does not sign you out of the Family manager account.

## Continue with the child's tasks

After switching to the child profile, you can use the relevant guides to:

* [complete event forms and waivers](/players-and-families/complete-event-forms-waivers.md);
* [pay an event fee](/players-and-families/pay-event-fee.md).
