# Manage player applications

Review hat event player applications and record online or external payments.

Players apply individually and must be **Accepted** before they can be assigned to Hat teams.

## Review an application

1. Open the hat event's player applications.
2. Open a player with the **Pending** status.
3. Review the application and any required player survey or waiver status.
4. Accept or decline the application.

Only `Accepted` players are available when you build hat teams.

## Online payments

When a player completes a required online payment through Ultie, the application changes to `Accepted` automatically.

## Cash, bank transfer, or another external method

Record the payment from **Fees**:

1. Find the player and select **Add Transaction**.
2. Select the applicable fee tier.
3. Choose how the player paid.
4. Add an optional comment if needed.
5. Select **Save**.

This records the external payment in the event. It is not an online payment processed through Ultie.
