# Rules & regulations

Create the game rules and timing used by the event schedule.

## Open Rules & Regulations

Use either entry point:

* **Settings → Custom settings → Rules & Regulations**
* **Schedule → Regulations**

## Configure a regulation set

1. Create a regulation set or open an existing one.
2. Set the visible game rules, including **Game length** and **Interval between Games**.
3. Configure any additional scoring, halftime, timeout, hardcap, or draw options required for that set.
4. Select **Save**.

Create separate regulation sets when different games need different rules, such as general rounds and finals.

## What happens next

The schedule uses the selected regulation set to calculate game duration and the interval before the next game. Return to **Regulations** from the schedule sidebar when you need to review or change it.
