# Manage refunds

Refund online and external payments for tournament, league, and Hat events.

The organizer decides whether to refund a payment and completes the refund through the route used for that payment. A Team manager cannot create a refund request in Ultie.

## Issue a refund

* For an online payment, use the organizer's account with the provider that processed it.
* For an external payment, return the money outside Ultie and record the refund in Ultie.

Removing a player from a roster does not issue a refund.

## Hat refunds

Hat events support full refunds only. A confirmed full refund or chargeback removes the application.
