# Manage event staff

Assign event roles, keep each person within the required scope, and remove access when the work ends.

## Add or change a role

1. Open the event and select **Control Panel**.
2. Open **User Management**.
3. Add the person or open an existing staff member.
4. Select the required role.
5. Save the change.

## Choose the role

* **Owner:** created with the event and cannot be transferred through **User Management**.
* **Admin:** persistent event administration. Staff Manager cannot assign or remove this role.
* **Staff Manager:** assigns and removes temporary event roles. This role does not grant schedule, payment, application, roster, or game authority by itself.
* **Schedule Manager:** manages the complete schedule and cannot access other Control Panel areas through this role.
* **Payment Manager:** records manual event payments and refund accounting. Recording an external payment or refund does not move money.
* **Scorekeeper:** starts, scores, corrects, and finishes every event game and may edit the event roster from the game interface. Scorekeeper authority alone does not allow SOTG or MVP submission.
* **Limited scorekeeper:** manages only games involving the rostered player’s own team and cannot edit rosters.
* **Volunteer:** keeps an accepted volunteer visible as event staff but grants no permissions by itself.

## When access ends

Owner and Admin do not expire automatically. Staff Manager, Schedule Manager, Payment Manager, Scorekeeper, Limited scorekeeper, and Volunteer end 30 calendar days after the event ends, or earlier when the assignment is removed.

Remove access earlier whenever the person no longer needs it.
