# Withdraw a team

Withdraw an event team before the event starts and understand what happens afterward.

A team manager can withdraw the team before the event starts. After the event starts, contact the Owner or an authorized Admin.

## Withdraw before the event

1. Open the event team from your global profile, or open the event page and select **Manage Application**.
2. Scroll to the withdrawal action.
3. Select **Withdraw from the Event** and confirm the action.

The team stops participating in the event.

## After the event has started

The team manager can no longer complete the withdrawal alone. Contact the Owner or an authorized Admin so they can update its participation.

Payments and refunds are handled separately. Contact the organizer if you need a refund.
